It covers the main steps that led to the birth cinematic apparatus and its development from the period we will follow the "dumb" to this day. The course is divided into three sections:
1 - "Materials and styles: from the shadows to sound"
2 - "Techniques and movements: the evolution of the assembly from the thirties to contemporary cinema"
3 - "The audiovisual professions: writer, cameraman, editor and archivist"
1 - The first three lectures deal with the technical and stylistic development of moving images: the first shows the projection of images already organized in the eighteenth century to the growth of a narrative to articulate images as we know it today. 2 - In the second part (3 classes) will examine the assembly in classic Hollywood cinema, Italian neorealism and the French nouvelle vague, or movies from the thirties to the sixties. A lesson will cover the installation and post-video production business.
3 - The third part (4 lessons) establishing the roles of writer, cameraman and editor. The lesson will be conducted by industry experts. In the last lesson we'll talk about film archives and television, restoration and reuse of archival images.
